Programs Offered

We combine human performance expertise with the fundamentals of athletic development and biomechanics expertise to ensure you achieve your athletic goals.

We offer in-season, pre-season, and individual training.

Our detailed assessment will answer several questions about how to take your athlete’s performance to the next level.  The assessment is critical to our success in reaching the athlete’s goals.  Scroll down to find out more about the assessments and progressions of training.

Pre- Season Conditioning

A pre-season conditioning program is the key to the success in all athletics.  We host a pre- season program for female athletes in several locations throughout the metropolitan DC area.

Impact Fitness DC has experience in collegiate, professional, and youth sports.  Our programs are tailored to small groups and individual training.  Not only will the female athletes become fit and less likely to suffer a non-contact injury, they will learn body awareness and how to take care of their bodies through exercise during this program.  We hold it twice per week in 5 week cycles.

Our mission is to educate female athletes on agility, flexibility, endurance, and injury prevention in a fun and challenging environment.

We have 5 week sessions starting in January 2010 and November 2009.  Contact us for pricing and scheduling

In- Season Conditioning

This type of training is done on your practice site or one of our sites. We have the equipment and the knowledge to manage, motivate, and measure your team’s success during the season.  We do this by aiding in recovery while building strength, endurance, and explosiveness.

Bumps and Bruises Workshop

When you decide to play a sport, one of the last things you think of is the possible injuries that might keep the athlete in the sideline or even stop them from playing all together.  Our expertise can be used for injury and flexibility for the athletes during the season. Since most injuries occur in the middle or end of the season, a great value to your team would be to maintain their physical abilities. We have expertise in physical therapy, athletic training, and muscular tightness to evaluate your team and design an intervention. These clinics are designed for 1 to 3 sessions and are not conditioning sessions. We will focus on getting your athlete to peak condition when they need it the most.

Testimonies

Link to program described below

Jennifer Schwartz of Impact FitnessDC recently ran an Injury Prevention Program for my daughter’s soccer team, the Braddock Road Youth Club (BRYC) U12 Girls.  Our coaches thought it crucial to implement such a program, since female athletes of that age and older are much more prone to muscle, ligament and tendon problems, such as ACL injuries.

The training Jennifer ran for the team was invaluable.   The girls performed muscle-strengthening exercises, exercises designed to warm the muscles before use, stabilizing exercises and drills that taught proper landing and cut and turn techniques - all key to preventing musculoskeletal problems in the future.   Jennifer also personalized it for individual players by assessing each player’s balance, coordination and body mechanics and then worked on those specific areas of concern.

The best part was that the girls on the team had a blast.  Jennifer and her partner Anna were charismatic, motivating and fun.  We would definitely do it again!
